The song "The Priest of Maidenhead" is a tribute to NWOBHM and classic heavy metal of the early 1980s. This was the years when heavy metal was cemented as a distinct genre and subculture. The song is inspired by and aims to represent the sound of classic bands IRON MAIDEN, JUDAS PRIEST and MOTÖRHEAD. Hence the title!
Iron Maiden, Judas Priest and Motörhead all had a strong and unique visual identity. Hey, Eddie and Snaggletooth are both legends in their own respect! We think Dimitar Nikolov's amazing cover art really captures the visual spirit of this important time period of the metal genre.
We hope the song itself matches his talent and succeeds in honouring the masters of true heavy metal.
